Hoping for ideas

To preface: I am not very creative, and I am only a budding ID at best so I don't have a lot of experiences to draw from.
I am looking for ideas for two pieces of content I have been tasked with creating "courses" for. The actual request was "a Powerpoint, maybe interactive, and something pretty ." The first is a simple conversion table for cooking measurements. 1tsp = 1/6 fl.oz. = 1/3Tbsp, for example. The second is a one-page instruction guide on how to cool food properly. The SME would also like a quiz at the end of each one.
I'm sort of at a loss for what I can do with these. The conversion table seems to lend itself to just being a PDF to read (and rote memorization for the quiz), and the cooling instructions would probably be only 2 pages long as a course. I thought about a matching activity with the conversion table, but it would be another 2-page course, and my LMS doesn't record test scores from course content, so there would still have to be a simple multiple choice quiz at the end.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Great ideas Erica. I am thinking about 1/3 cup of butter. Pictures of the butter (8 tsp. in a 1/2 cup.) How do you slice it? Didn't Trivantis put this one together one time?
Be careful, food regulations are pretty specific.
For food cooling, how about doing a scenario and flipping it around?
Suzie cooked X and needs to cool it for storage. How should she do that?
- Put it in the fridge
- Add ice and stir
- etc
If they pick the wrong answer, it can be fun to play out the consequence. I can't remember where I saw it, but I saw a sample activity along this lines (something about eating spoiled food). If the learner picked the wrong answer, the feedback said something like "you spent the night sick from food poisoning, since X bacteria thrives in Y environment."
That way, instead of telling the learner the answer (which is easy to dismiss) they will have to think about the answer. The best wrong answers would be common mistakes people make when cooling foods.
At the end of the activity set, summarize the scenario(s) with a list of key tips.
If you do a few scenarios that cover the big lessons, this will make a nice little module that is engaging and informative.
For the measurements, how about providing the PDF as a reference. Then say something like "you are making a cake but are missing half of your measuring spoons/cups. Using what you have, measure out each ingredient." They can use the reference sheet to look up the answer (much like someone would in real life) or they can guess and hope the cake turns out. I'd have to think that one through some more but that might be a starting point.
I usually start by thinking about what the learner will do with what they are learning. Sometimes that can help spark some ideas for ways to make the content fun.
We did a sample course for Lectora v11 that you mind find inspiring. You can check it out here:

Jennifer - is that course available to download somewhere so that I can get inside and see how things work? There are items in there that I didn't know I could do with Lectora, and I'd like to figure them out.
How about these ideas..
- Adding a Swedish chef like in the Muppets ( Cartoon version offcourse...but esp. the mumbling parts maybe great )
- Using the interior of a kitchen as a discovering environment. Offcourse i do see the specific measurement 'glasses' that can show information about measurements when clicked and more...
