grouped objects

Wrong choice of words - not "script" - action. I am trying to minimize the amount of actions by applying one action to a group. That's not the problem. The problem is just that once things are grouped - I'm trying to just tweek the layout by selecting one piece of the group and moving it (for example) What I'm finding is that once grouped, I can no longer select a piece of the group and move it. I know that in other applications, I could select (for example the ctrl or alt key) and that would allow me to move one item of the group without ungrouping it. That's what I'm asking. Right now, I have to move the item from the group, modify it and then move it back to the group - or Ungroup the items and then I loose the "action" that is applied to the groupWrong choice of words - not "script" - action.
