Check for the latest Motherboard BIOS. Let me know what chipset the MB uses. Some the newer boards, nVidia 680i chipset, have an issues with the SATA controler that is causing lockups.Also, the Radeon 7.2 and 7.3 drivers were having some issues in VISTA causing a BSOD right at the log in screen. There is a new 7.4 driver out. Also, if you have an nVidia mother board, no not install the nvidia drivers from there web site, the one that comes with windows VISTA is the most stable. PM if you need some advice on it. I had quite a few issues with the BSOD stuff but managed to get them all resolved.
