flv videos showing "black" box prior to and after playing

I have several flv videos within my course a typical page consists of 2-3 audios (converted to flv with event coding) and 1-2 flv videos (also with event coding). Audio 1 will play and have timed text display using the event code then at the end of audio 1, also in event code, I have the flv video show/play. At the end of flv video hide/stop video then play audio 2, audio 2 plays and more timed text appears/disappears. All of this works great with no problems however, when the video plays/shows a "black box" appears prior to playing the content and the same "black box" shows after the video is done playing when it stops/hides I have tried to rearange the content so a graphic would hide/show over the video but that does not happen (the video is on top by default and can not be rearragned). I have tried to transation in the video but the box still appears. Has any one else had this issue and if so can it be fixed so the "black box" does not appear.
