Captivate v. 2 swf files

I am using Captivate v. 2 for animated examples in a titile, but when I publish to SCORM, the animation (loading screen) is not visible when viewing the page. When the button to begin the animation is clicked, the animation appears and works normally.
I tried to work around this issue by taking a screenshot of the loading page and putting that image in front of the animation, and adding an action to the start button to hide the image. The image is not visible when published.
What could I be doing wrong here?
