Button to enable full screen on External HTML object

I'm running a video on my company's network through an External HTML object, which works fine. The issue is the player doesn't have a "full-screen" button instead it requires the user to double-click the video.
This isn't apparent and I would like to create a button that allows the user to click and go into full-screen mode. I'm sure this is a simple script but I'm not sure how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
