Audio file won';t replace

Hi, I'm trying to replace an audio file (which I've achieved many times), but it won't replace. I've tried rebooting Lectora; replacing the file in the media folder manually - then reinserting it after removing it in the course tree, through the resource manager, editing in the audio editor - which won't allow me to paste from the clipboard. Has anyone else experienced this issue, if so, how did you resolve it? Thanks Jan

Worst case scenario you can always edit the awt in a text editor. Find the name of the original file and replace it with the new one. Just remember to locate the new file in the same place as the old.

Thanks, Darrel

I'll try the easier one first, followed by option 2 if required. I'll let you know how I get on,

This is just a guess. Does the file you're trying to replace have the same name as the one doing the replacing? If so, try replacing first with a different named file and then replace again with the one you wanted. I've run into some weird stuff happening when I tried to replace an object with another while keeping the same name.

You're welcome Jan, I'm glad it worked.

Darrel,

Such an obvious solution which, unsurprisingly worked! I had spent too long trying to make the original file work, and had lost sight of the obvious!

Thanks again - not only for the solution, but for restoring my sanity!
