After copying .awt: no movies inside

Lectora just uses the standard Windows dialogs for opening and importing files. This is probably a limitation of the OS. I'm using Windows XP and was able to get that directory structure to work. However, on a Windows 98 machine, it did not work. What version of Windows are you using?

FINAL RESULT: C:_test_test2_test3_test4_test4_test5_test6_test7_tes t7_test7_test7_test7_testtest.awtis NOT working, but C:_test_test2_test3_test4_test4_test5_test6_test7_tes t7_test7_test7_test7_testest.awt(the last letter within the folder-structure is missing)IS WORKING !!! Seems like 89 characters (for the folder-names only) is the limit of what lectora can handle !? The length of the awt-file itself seems to have no influence.eMikeyEdited By: eMikey on 38440.3953009259

I believe Windows 2000 limits paths to 260 characters total length.I believe Windows 2000 limits paths to 260 characters total length.

Hi Aaron, I´m using WIN 2000 5.0.0.2195 SP4Hi Aaron, I´m using WIN 2000 5.0.0.2195 SP4

Hi Aaron, Thanks for replying so fast, but I do not get an error message. The video is still 'inside' the Lectora-title. I can also still see the video controller, I can access the properties, see the path where the video is in and everything. But Lectora is not showing the movie... Only the controller is visible. When I access the Lectora-page which includes the movie, Lectora normally reloads this specific page (it takes some time depending on the video-size). This is what also happens in the 'new' (copied) title, but no movie is visible. Instead Lectora has an event to 'undo' in the menu which says 'undo resize', because Lectora seems to notice that the size of the video was different before (before: video plus controller / after: only controller without video).I just made some more tests on that topic. Can it be that there is a limit (no. of letters) for the paths ? Can it be that after copying the title, the path to the 'media'-folder becomes too long or is in any other way not right ?Path working is: 'C:Dokumente und Einstellungeng040091aEigene Dateientestmedia'Path NOT working is:'C:Dokumente und Einstellungeng040091aEigene DateienMy TitlesATRONIC_eLEARNINGMODULESLM_GAM_SAL_AVOC001media'Kind regards, Mikey

Mikey,When creating a title in Lectora, any file resources added (images, sound files, videos) are not actually added to the title file. When a title is created the Lectora awt file is placed in a new folder on the hard drive. Any images added are placed in a separate images sub folder. Any media objects will placed in a media sub folder. If any of these files are not in the sub folders next to the awt file, you will get a "missing resource" error. When making a copy of your title or moving it to another folder always remember to also copy and move the sub folders as well.

Hi again !QUESTIONAfter copying an .awt (with all subfolders) and opening the 'new' .awt with Lectora the embedded movies dissapear. In the 'old' .awt I can open them and change properties etc. In the 'new' file I don´t see a picture anymore. Seems to be a codec-problem, right ?! What can I do ?MikeyEdited By: eMikey on 38428.3328009259
