Why Add Additional Captivate files ?

Hi I am a fairly new user for both Captivate and Lectora. I'm currently using Captivate 3 and Lectora 2008. I am publishing to SCORM 1.2. I've read on this forum that after importing the Captivate SWF file into Lectora you should also add the additional SCORM files from Captivate into the Title Properties of Lectora. I haven't been doing that, I've just imported the swf and the animations run fine when I publish to my LMS (KMx).So I was wondering if someone could explain why you need to add the additonal SCORM files from Captivate into Lectora? thanks,Jeanette
