Web address links messed up when open pre-Lectora v11 project into Lectora v11
February 22, 2013 12:00 AM
When I open a project in Lectora v11 that was developed in the previous version of Lectora, it disables my internet web address links. So when I corrected them and republished to SCORM, the program page was all messed up with information missing (including the next/back/exit buttons).
I had to have another employee who is not yet updated to Lectora v11 pull the project into her system and reinput the web address information and republish. Now it works fine.
However, this will be an ongoing issue for us as most of our training programs have links to our intranet for policy information.
Has anyone else had this issue.... how can we fix it?

I should mention that the web address links works fine within Lectora v11 and ReviewLink. However, they mess the whole page up when I try to run the project in our LMS.

Interesting. I just did a reply to this posting about almost the same thing:

When I tested it was just local and not when loaded up to our LMS. However, what I was trying to do was create a new hyperlink not edit/change an existing one. When creating a new hyperlink, it does not seem to work at all.

Okay, I just tested with an existing title created in X.6 that had an existing hyperlink in v11. In v11, if you try to edit (well at least for me) an existing hyperlink, v11 allows you to type in the new URL but does not give you an okay button to retain the new URL. If you close out of the "Add Hyperlink" box to go to another item on the page and then go back to the hyperlink, your existing URL is either now gone or has the old value and does not allow any new URLs. I think this is a very bad bug or I have no idea how this works...
Can someone please verify this?
I also think and also suggested to Trivantis, that when I try to modify an existing hyperlink, the popup comes up with "Add hyperlink". Well since this is an existing hyperlink, it should not say "Add hyperlink" it should say something like "Modify Hyperlink" and then give enough screen real estate, to show you what was previously saved.
