User Tracking, etc in Lectora

I am a multimedia designer / education specialist newly employed at the Arizona Supreme Court as an Education Specialist. I have been working in eLearning now for a couple of years building content (animations and interactives) with Flash, uploading to an LCMS and delivering through an LMS. The Court doesn't use an LCMS or LMS; due to bandwidth restrictions and server concerns we publish CBTs on CD. They have been using Authorware to this end but, as some of you may know, Authorware is not supported on Windows Vista. Worse, Adobe will not give any information as to what they are doing with the product. The buzz is that the product is being killed or completely redesigned / rebuilt, but who knows. Of course, the entirety of the AZ Supreme Courts is migrating to Vista sometime near October. So we are looking to get away from Authorware. In an effort to find a new tool, I sat in on a Saba run Lectora Publisher training on Friday and I thought was a solid tool. But when I asked about a few features regarding things like user tracking, bookmarking and certificate printing I was told that Lectora didn't handle these tasks out of the box. However, they said we add coding to accomplish what we need.Is there anyone here who has successfully gotten this type of usablility from Lectora? Is it terribly difficult? Are there resources out there to assist us in this endeavor? Are we talking about just dropping in some Java script? Is this something Trivantis might even help us with? Thanks much in advance!
