Unwanted Assignable Units

I am new to Lectora and created a course using multiple assignable units. Our current home-grown LMS can't handle the units. I tried to delete them and of course, it deletes the chapters,pages,etc. associated with the unit. I have reviewed the on-line help and it doesn't mention how to "undesignate" a unit. Is there a way to change it just to a standard chapter without redoing the entire program? If I uncheck "Include in Table of Contects" and then publish it as HTML will the assignable units be ignored?
