Tools ribbon - editor not found?

I recently had 11 installed. When I got to the Tools ribbon and click the snagit, camtasia, flypaper, etc icons, I receive a message of "Editor not found." I found the Editors option in the Preferences but adding the programs there didn't fix it.

I have all the applications installed and they work, but whatever connects them seems to be missing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks that does help. I think that is what happened, while I did have admin rights on my machine, IT installed it from some network deployment which seems to have been the cause.

I ended up merging in the following registry entries:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareTrivantisLectora Inspire8.00Editors]

"TEXT"="C:\WINDOWS\Notepad.exe"

"FlypaperSWF"="C:\Program Files\Flypaper\Flypaper.exe"

"CamtasiaFLV"="C:\Program Files\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 8\CamtasiaStudio.exe"

"SnagitIMG"="C:\Program Files\TechSmith\Snagit 11\snagit32.exe"

"IMAGE"="C:\Program Files\TechSmith\Snagit 11\SnagitEditor.exe"

"ANIMATION"=""

"AUDIO"="C:\Program Files\Trivantis\Lectora Inspire\AudioEditor.exe"

"VIDEO"="C:\Program Files\Trivantis\Lectora Inspire\VideoEditor.exe"

"Document"=""

and everything worked fine. Thanks again.

I had this problem also, but it was on Lectora X. For me it was caused by our IT department doing the installation via their admin account. There was some sort of naming conflict between the installed user and my user account. There were two ways to resolve this, either by adding the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareTrivantisLectora Inspire7.00Editors or by reinstalling with admin privilege set on the users machine (reinstall was the option we used)

Although the other software can be opened independently of Lectora it is frustrating to have this problem, I ignored it to begin with thinking that I could do whatever I needed to and with only minor inconvenience. As I stared to delve further into Lectora I found other problems that this issue caused such as the ability to convert Power Point to Lectora, also accessing online content was not available.

I hope this is of some help.

You're welcome, glad I could at least get you pointed in the right direction :)
