Thumbnails for images

I'm creating a training document that has ALOT of jpg files in it. Sometimes the user will not need to see each and every image, depending on their level of expertise. Also, depending on their location sometimes these images can take some time to load up. Is there any way to automatically create a small thumbnail of the image such that if the user were to click on the thumbnail, it would open up the image in a pop-up window that could fill the screen? This way the user can choose for themselves what images they want to see in more detail. MS Frontpage has this very feature and i found it extremely helpful for image heavy websites. Right now, the only way i can do this is to resize the image to a thumbnail sized image, paste that thumbnail-sized image into Lectora, embed the file into the exercise as an "additional file", and then link to it from there. Sort of a pain in the butt. Is there a faster way to do this? I'm creating a training document that has ALOT of jpg files in it.
