Three image buttons and text

Is it possible to create text over a custom three image button?

Right now, the text box 'blocks' the mouse click and mouse hover button responses.

I would like to create the text in Lectora because it will save me the trouble of having to edit all of the buttons in image editing software when I translate the course.

I do not like the look of the buttons that are created in the button wizard. Also, I have had trouble with the function of the buttons created in the wizard when the text contents have been translated in the translation tool. It has been causing the page to crash when published.

When I searched, I found a result from about a year ago that recommended using three separate images, a text block and a transparent button over the whole thing. This could work for me, but how does the result perform once published? I imagine that it would be very choppy. I was hoping that someone may have a simpler solution out there.
