Test Results Print and Done Button Don';t Show
July 22, 2016 12:00 AM
I have about 10 tests created in an earlier version of Lectora (whatever it was about 3 years ago). I'm up to Lectora 16.1.1 and in the Results part of the test, on the Title side - I have a Print Button and Done Button. But when published (HTML), the buttons don't show. However, knowing they should be there, I have a "clickable" area like an invisible button so if I click it - it does work. I do want the Done Button to show (don't want the Printer Button). I have no idea what the button should look like because it doesn't show even on the page in edit mode. Where did it go? Why won't it show? Opacity is set to 100%.
Additionally - if I have Test Results set in Behavior to automatically submit results, do I even need the Done Button? When I click it (the hidden button), it submits the results again then goes to the correct page.
I'm getting confused. It should be easy but I'm stumped.

Can you strip out anything in the test we should not see and post an example?
Absolutely! It isn't in the LMS - just in a file on my server for your review - so submission of results won't work as they should. http://www.easttxprog.com/lectora_samples_review/bbp-test/index.html.
I can see the Done button, no problem (latest Chrome). See screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/w1Q3v
TxLady, you need to include the supporting files, such as images, etc. for us to be able to load it into Lecotra. It would also benefit us if you included a zipped up copy of the html folder that contains the actual published material. It does not look as though there are any buttons on the test results page. Also, when I clicked done to get the results something that looked like a post-it flashed just above the done button and then the page changed.
Unfortunately, I scored a dismal 60 two times in a row so I can't see what happens with a passing score. If you repost the complete files we might be able to see whats going on.
Ok - let's see if this works. Yes - it has a post-it that zips by - not supposed to happen. I think part of my issue is this was created about 3 years ago with an older version and I've made changes in my current version, and something isn't translating. When I submit results - it's not going to the right pages - but it used to. Attached.
I'm kinda brain dead pushing for a deadline. I didn't make myself very clear on this. Soooo sorry. The DONE button is showing and works. What isn't showing are the buttons on the Test Results AFTER you click the DONE button. Thank you for your input on my mistake. Can you please check again and click the DONE button?
I did that. The file is 64,266 KB. But it didn't upload. Trying again.
It's probably not loading because of it's size. If memory serves me right the max is around 30. You can either try sending it to me via email by using WeTransfer (free!). My email is Jennifer.valley@trivantis.com. Otherwise support has ways of getting a large file to take a look at the course. You can contact them using the button found under the active members list.
So there's suppose to be a done button on the page with the test results? If so, then nothing is showing up for me. It looks like the page is opening in the same window which is causing the file the disconnect with inherited or placed objects. Can you share the Lectora files so I can see inside the course?
Sure. Maybe my fix is to have it as a pop-up? I haven't slept much in the past 2 weeks and I'm exhausted. I originally had it as a pop-up. I'm sorry to be so much trouble. I haven't had this much trouble on a test since I started with Lectora 3 years ago. Normally I do better.
If you're using win7 through 10. Open file explorer and navigate to your My Documents folder. Inside should be a My Titles folder. Inside that you should find the folder of the lesson were discussing. Right click on the folder (don't open it) and select SEND TO - Compressed (zipped) folder. That will create a zipped duplicate. Try to attach that.
Well - it wouldn't let me upload. How do I get you the file?
I will send you an EM shortly. Thank you so much.
Hi Folks,
Did you guys figure this out? I'm having the same issue (basically)... in the test results popup, the "Ok" and "Print" buttons do not show. If you hit the Tab key, the focus is sent to the Ok button... for some browsers.
I've had users report the tab trick doesn't work.
The flow goes like this:
- Submit test
- Test results popup.
- hit ok in popup
- taken to results page and completion is transmitted.
So they can't hit the Ok, and they don't get a completion, but the score is sent to the LMS.
I am hoping this is fixed in 17, but I'm waiting for my maintenance plan renewal. :0
Thanks
Don.
I don't know. But sometimes - no matter the application - turning it off/on fixes whatever little bug it has. Don't ya just love computers? I'm glad I could answer someone for a change. I'm usually the one asking questions.
This is what I got from Customer Support. There was an issue in v16.1 and v16.1.1 where certain machines did not fully update and add the new test buttons in the product. This was addressed in the v16.1.2 release. If you are still using v16.1.1, then you may need to update to at least v16.1.2 to get the buttons. I viewed your content in the latest build of Lectora, v16.2.1, and it displayed correctly once I went into the test, deselected the test results option and then added it back. I would recommend updating to v16.1.2, removing the test results option in the test properties and then adding it back to see if that resolves the issue for you. It started working after that.
That solved the problem!
Kind of strange to have to turn off/on the feature in the course. I wonder if I'm missing any other things with my previously published courses?
Thanks,
Don.
