Taking notes while in Lectora

I was told to create a pdf and upload that into Blackboard along with the module but when I tried to print to a pdf it hosed up my PC and I had to do a hard shut-down. I really don't want to do that but am at a loss as to a solution for this note taking issue..if there is a solution. Thanks in advance for any direction.
