Taking notes while in Lectora

An alternative to Comment Catcher is to use a Form Entry field. Put this at the course level as initially not visible. Include a button that the Learner can click to display the notes field whenever they like. At the end of the course, give the Learner the option to print their notes. (Put the entry field on a separate page with an On Show / Print Page action.

Can I create something that will allow them to be able to have their notes pages w/o printing every page of the module? I was told to create a pdf and upload that into Blackboard along with the module but when I tried to print to a pdf it hosed up my PC and I had to do a hard shut-down. I really don't want to do that but am at a loss as to a solution for this note taking issue..if there is a solution. Thanks in advance for any direction.
