Struggling with Multiple AUs

I've done a short test with a title that contains 2 AUs in moodle 2.8.

A001 is made a prerequisite for A002 in Lectora.

1. Open in the same window

I could only make moodle advance to A002 automatically by opening the course in the same window and by setting "auto-continue" to "Yes" (moodle). A002 is started only if the mastery score for A001 is reached. The action on a button to go on to A002 on the last page of A001 must "Exit title / close window".

2. Open in a new window

When opening the course in a new window, I could only gain access to A002 by setting "Display course structure on entry page" to "Yes". Moodle will show two links on the entry page to start both AUs separately. "auto-continue" has no effect. The new window for A001 has to be closed before A002 can be started.

If you chose option 1 you should only show a button to "Exit title / close window" on the last page of AU1. The close button won't do anything else in the same window, but moving to AU2 if the mastery score is reached. It won't do anything if not.

If you chose option 2 you can show that button on every page, it won't do anything but closing the window. The users are directed to the course page in moodle and have to open the scorm activity again to start AU2.

P.S. The screenshot shows the entry page of the scorm activity in moodle. A002 can't be started yet because A001 has not been passed. A002 can only be started by clicking the link on the left. A click on "Start" will always open A001.
