Some group objects don't have visibility checkbox

Hi: In my current contract, I'm working in a group of developers. We recently ran into an issue when one of the other developers had to work on a file I had originally developed. Several pages have interactions where the learner clicks an object to see graphics and text that are initially invisible. The interactions work as intended on my computer. For the other developer, all of the images that should be invisible are visible from the very beginning - even before he clicks anything.
After some investigation and comparing the course on the two computers, I discovered the the group object on his computer doesn't have the visibility checkbox. The visibility checkbox is available on my group objects - and I've used it extensively. So, now, I have to go through all the courses I've developed and use the visibility option of the individual objects - not the group object - when I want to display a number of items with a single action.
My question, why is his installation different from mine? We're both using Lextora X v.6.
Thank you for any help anyone can provide.

In Lectora Preferences, make sure "Show visibility check boxes in the Title Explorer" is checked. This is unchecked by default.

Thank you for the suggestion but the visibility check boxes in the Title Explorer are the 'eyes' next to each object which you use, while authoring, to hide objects that might overlap those you want to edit.
The visibility checkbox I'm referring to are those in the object properties. These control whether an object is visible when you run your course. They're invaluable when setting up pop-up or rollover interactions.
My co-worker and I have both checked the option in the Lectora Preferences. We both see the eyeballs. The issue is with the Group object. In my installation, the group properties includes a visibility checkbox which I used to hide all objects in the group when you first enter a page. When my co-worker was asked to work with the file I created, the objects that were supposed to be hidden were visible initially because the group properties on his installation didn't have the visibility checkbox.
The solution to the problem is simple - I have to stop relying on the visibility checkbox in group properties. My question is how two installations of the same version of Lectora could vary like this. Is it a difference in build?
Sorry. I think the difference in terminology and function between your version and version 11 has confused me. I'm not sure I can help as I have a different version.

No really good explanation. I would uninstall Lectora on his system (the one that does not show the Initially Visible check box) and reinstall using the Lectora Intall file you used to install on your computer. Other than that, contact Support.
