Show nav controls for some pages but not others

How do I show my nav controls (back, next, pause, progress bar, etc.) for all pages in chapters 1-6 but not in others, such as the splash page, TOC, and test?

You can disinherit all objects that are on title level for certain chapter or pages.
Open the properties for the page or chapter. Click "Inherit Settings" and choose "Specific objects from parent" from the drop down menu. Then move all objects you don't want to have on that page / chapter to the right column.
