I think the above poster is right. You can also try GoTo Web address and use the name of the .exe like abc.exe. Be sure to make it an Additional file in the title - Just drag and drop onto a page.
GoTo Web address is better than Launch because you can open the target using a separate window. If you open a PDF in the same window using a Launch action, when the PDF is closed, the whole course is closed!
