Reusing Assessment Questions

Hi all,
I have a template I'm using where we have non-scored lesson practice questions that are identical to the questions used in the course assessment and am wondering what the best method is to reuse these questions. For quite some time, I've been copying and pasting just the question object. I make my lesson questions worth 0 points and my assessment question worth 1 point. My questions are typically just multiple choice or answer, I haven't worked with the more complex types yet. I've noticed in some cases - matching especially - that I've had to build a new question from scratch because for some reason the variable value is not retained (might just be too much information in the question itself, etc.).
- Is there a reason why one would not want to make a 0 point question?
- Should copying and pasting questions or question pages be avoided?
If copying and pasting is OK - which method is best? (or shouldn't be used?)
- Copy and paste just the question object
- Copy and paste the question object as Lectora Object <-- this one actually seems like it might be best!
- Copy and paste the entire page (bearing in mind that page properties / objects may come with)
- Save as Library Object and import
- Don't copy Assessment Questions to reuse them!
I've also used the Excel spreadsheet method to create a "question bank" - this seems to have potential especially with our projects since we reuse a lot of materials between courses though far it hasn't really caught on large scale in my circles.
Just bought three Lectora books from Amazon so maybe I'll find an answer there - any help or advice from the community is greatly appreciated, thanks!
