Repeat test with randomized questions

I am using Lectora Enterprise Edition X.6
I have a randomized test that pulls 10 questions from a bank of 40. If the learner fails, he retakes the test and is presented with 10 different questions. The problem is that on the second attempt, after answering 1 question, the learner is presented with the test results window that indicates he has answered 10 questions.
"when cancelled/Failed" is set to go to a page that explains that they have failed the test and may retake it and suggests they reread the source material. the next button on that page resets the test so that they should receive 10 new questions on their second attempt.
I hope this is clear. I am under a tight deadline and need to get this resolved.
