Unless you set up a DataBase, there is no way to communicate reliably between modules. You can use cookies if you use plain HTML but they are unreliable. I have done it but not been as critical is you are likely to need it to be - just for going back to the last page viewed and a simple menu title. You should be able to set this up in one course/module.
