Quiz/Make-Up Quiz

Thank you all for taking the time to respond to my cry for help; I really appreciate your kindness! I will tinker with your suggestions and see where that gets me. Ben, I may take you up on your offer to give you a call. One thing: I haven't been able to get in touch with the person who gave me this request, but I have a feeling she was envisioning two separate quizzes; if a student failed the first one, he or she would sign on to the second one and only see the questions missed from the first quiz. Am I right in thinking that this is impossible? All of the suggestions I received postulated the fact that a student was working within one quiz, and I can't see it happening any other way.
