This is an excellent solution. In my experience, I publish in SCORM only on LMS with Learn.com. Our internal permissions have issues with PopUps and I cannot control the popup blocker on others' systems, therefore, this solution causes me issues. I had to format a separate page in Lectora, and tinker and tinker with it as a published and linkable page, not a popup in order to get this function to work, well, most of the time :-).
Just be careful to popup blockers and what your audience will or won't have.
