PNG Background Not Appearing Transparent

I know that the new 2005 Lectora supports png files. I noticed that it works great with white backgrounds. But when I place my pngs in a darker background its background does not look transparent. I took screenshots to load them to this post, but I guess I can't attach files. Do you have any suggestions?I know that the new 2005 Lectora supports png files.
