play/pause/done playing with mp3/swf

I am using Lectora 2008. I have a mp3 audio on some pages and swf animations on some pages. I need tp play/pause bothe from lectora buttons.I am using play/pause actions on buttons and 'done playing' of mp3 or swf to hide pause button and show play button. I ampublishing it for html. All this works fine in combinations 'IE7 - flash player 9', 'IE6 - flash player 8.0.0.22'. But fails in some combinations like 'IE6 - flash player9', ' IE6 - flash player 8'.Is there any solution to this? In some posts it is suggested that instaed of 'done playing', actionscipt should be used from inside swf. But still the issue with 'pause' and with mp3 audio remains.(The mp3 is coverted into .flv while publishing.
