Playing multiple flv videos through one video player on the page

Hi. I'm trying to switch out the flv file that a video player calls based on a button that the learner selects on a page. I have one swf video player with a parameter (whichClip) that, when playing only one video on a page, is set to the file location of an flv on our media server. I want to be able to play multiple videos on the page through that same video player, switching out the file location string in the Flash object parameter so that it plays a different video each time a different button is pushed.
Can this be done? I've been reading through some posts that seem to cover similar territory, but can't figure out how to do it. I'm a novice at programming and using javascript with Lectora, so any help would be appreciated!
