Not able to access local scenarios

Hi there,

I have followed the instructions on this blog post: https://www.cenariovr.com/blog-posts/setting-up-local-scenarios-in-cenariovr-in-headsets.html

and was able to set up local scenario HTML files for Pico headsets - these were working perfectly.

However, I tried the same for the Oculus/Meta Go headset, but the CenarioVR app keeps going to the Login screen, requiring login and download - so it seems like it’s not reading the JSON script at all.

I have checked the JSON file (local set to true); uninstalled and reinstalled CenarioVR app; and ensured the files are stored locally within the CVRLocal folder within Download.

Is there any other tests I can do?

We need our VR scenarios to work locally on these Oculus/Meta Go headsets.

Thanks in advance

Solution

The Oculus Go headset was discontinued four years ago by Oculus (now Meta), and as such, there is no development SDK available from Meta for it, nor does Meta allow updates to be put on the store for it by any vendor. None of the features of CenarioVR are supported by the Go version of the CenarioVR app, as it is not possible to build for it any more. To use any newer features of CenarioVR (or any VR application), you'll need to switch to an updated headset.
