No audio coming from imported video - Lectora V11
May 14, 2013 12:00 AM
Hello,
I inserted a video file (supported - .mpg) into the program I'm developing, and although the video plays, there isn't any sound. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening? I tested the file to make sure the audio works outside of Lectora, and everything is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I tried searching the forum to see if others have had the same problem, but wasn't able to find anything.
Thanks!
Jessica

The skin is visible but I don't have an option to change the volume until it's been published. Even then, no sound comes through although the volume is at it's max.
Sound is on in Windows (as far as I can tell) and it has failed in preview mode and IE.
Thanks for your help. I don't suppose you have any other ideas? :)
1. Make sure the player skin is visible in Lectora and look at the volume control. Is it set to 0? Is it muted? Can you change volume or unmute?
2. Click volume icon in Windows taskbar, then click Mixer, check if Lectora or your browser is specifically muted.
3. Does it fail both in Lectora preview and in browser? What browsers have you tried?
I had the same issue recently. The fix that worked for me was deleting the video from the title, deleting the page it was on, making a new page, and importing the same video over again. Believe it or not, it worked the second time.
