Next button on last page of text

I've been doing this since 2007. I've always taken out the "next" button that goes to the next page on the last page of a test and inserted a "next" button that will process the test based on an action. Today I clicked on the "Run" button to check the page and the regular "next" button processed the test without me adding an action to do so. So, somehow it knows that that is the last page of the text and it automatically processes the test? When did that start?
