Multiple AUs and Variables

Strangely enough, I have noticed that if I have multiple AUs and variables that pass between them, the LMS I am using does not recognize these. Anyone else have this issue? I am using Oracle's iLearning.
The goal, because our LMS has a bug that Oracle is trying to fix, is not allowing a user to jump from AU to AU without returning to their learning home and launching the content again.
To fix that, I removed the pre-reqs in iLearning, which allows the user to jump around and take the modules in any order, even the assessment first. So, I thought I would put a variable at the end of each module that flips from 0 to 1 and if they try to take the assessment, they get a page that says they must complete all modules before taking the assessment. So, I go and finish each module and then click the assessment, but it still shows the page that says they must complete each module.
It works in preview mode in Lectora.
