Using the described procedure, the audio will start automatically after the page loads, and you can still use your buttons to start and stop the audio. As the audio string will be the same, just set it to stop and play on the one icon. Or you can put the audio files into flash objects. Then you would be able to play, stop, pause, restart from beginning, or restart from paused position. You can even add a progress bar for the audio as it's playing.
