mp3 not working correctly

I have an audio file with several events in it. When published in Cornerstone, the audio stops or at least I can't hear it anymore but the event triggers are still working. The triggers mainly "show" text. So the text keeps appearing but I can't hear the audio. I also have an "on done playing" action when the audio is complete. That is not working either which would make sense if the audio has stopped before it gets to the end. I know this is confusing -sorry.
I think they main question is "Why would the audio cutout"?
