Language Choices in Course

KellyG,It seems to me that creating two separate titles in Lectora and posting them to the LMS would be the safest way to keep users in the correct language format. However, if you need to keep the content in the same AU so that you have statistics and SCORM info for everyone, then it would be relatively easy to create separate navigation paths for each language. You could create each language as a separate chapter and have the initial language button take them to the appropriate page. Then it is simply a matter of making sure that the "next" and "back" buttons on the last page are targeted appropriately to an exit strategy (for example a test or instructions on how to complete and exit the course). Users will not be able to go into a different language if you don't give them a button to click into such a page. In setting this up, be sure that the first page of the second language does not have a "back" button that takes you to the last page of the previous language. You can either disinherit the "back" button or simply overlay a transparent textbox over the back button on that page and direct it to the first page of your tile in which the user selects the appropriate language. That way if they tried to use the back button it would skip the first chapter and go back to the intial starting page.If this is not clear, please feel free to send me a private message for more detailed discussions.JZ
