Java Digital Signature Error

I put a help screen on our tests about a Java error the user may get and to accept and move on kinda thing. But one of my programmers pointed out that Java indicates that future Java updates will no longer recognize the application without a Digital Signature. There is a lot of stuff out there about creating your own digital signature (I don't know Java and neither does my programmer). Or we can buy a digital signature for $178 - and I guess we'd have to have one for each test? My customer will go balistic! Even if we do create our own digital signature - Java will still give the same error I think since we won't be a "recognized" provider. How do I handle this?

You can select "Use JavaScript Title Manager" in the publishing options (http://www.learningsolutionsmag.com/assets/images/learningsolutions/110308/110308dev_f12.jpg) and then no Java applets will be included with your title. Java does introduce a number of nasty IT issues, so if you can survive without it, you should.

Why do you have to use Java instead of JavaScript title manager?

You're using a different version of Lectora than I'm using. I clicked your link and I think I have everything set the same. I wasn't using the "Use JavaScript Title Manager" so I clicked it and re-published a test. I'm still getting the Java error screen. (I'm using Inspire Ver 11.2). Am I still missing something?

I'm also having the same issue.

The following warnings appear:

- Your Java version is out of date

- Do you want to run this application?

- Allow access to the following application from this web site?

Even though I have published with 'Use JavaScript Title Manager' checked.

There shouldn't be any Java, so why the warnings?

The Lectora Version I'm using is 11.3
