ipad zooming in on random objects

I am building a title using a slightly modified ipad template from the online archive. It doesnt happen consistently but if I keep hitting "next" and then "back" I eventually get the ipad to zoom into one of the text objects on my screen and it just gets stuck there. The pinch to zoom out will let me get a larger view of the page but the page has become fragmented.
