Importing XML files

Has anyone ever imported XML files into Lectora? I'm working with a vendor who said they could convert their .dat files to xml so I can import them into Lectora. The one thing they need is the Schema. I've looked in the Lectora help files but did not see anything about schema or importing xml files. Has anyone ever imported XML files into Lectora?
