ICONs ICONs ICONs problem with Lectora... Quite a Pain!!!

"Invalid Icon file. The icon file should contain a 16x16x16 image, a 32x32x32 image and 32x32x256 image . Runner icon may not have been replaced properly"

Completely vexed with this Lectora's error message. Here is what I have done:

1. Convert a .jpg image into .ico files using online free to formats: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 72x72, 96x96, 120x120, 128x128

2. Now opened GIMP and then added color depth to all of above icons & re-saved them as:

16x16x16

16x16x256

32x32x16

32x32x256

48x48x16

48x48x256

64x64x16

64x64x256

72x72x16

72x72x256

96x92x16

96x92x256

120x120x16

120x120x256

128x128x16

128x128x256

3. Now opened the largest sizee .ico file i.e. 128x128x256 then re-opened the remaining .ico files as "Layers"

4. Then saved it as a XCF image in GIMP

5. Then re-opened the above XCF file and exported to a --> FinalIcon.ico file

6. Used this "FinalIcon.ico" file in Lectora & it stil doesn't work.

Quite frustrating. Am I doing some obviously wrong? Any other easier way to do this natively in Lectora?

Thanks,

Vick

Dear Folks - Can someone help? This is the last step in my project & am struggling with it. Anyone has solution to this?

Thanks,

Vick

It's been quite a while since I published something to EXE. I created a 16x16 and a 32x32 icon and combined them to a multi-layer icon using (I think it was) "iconsushi" (freeware). Lectora (vX.6) accepted that file when using the "Change Icon" setting during publication.

Tim

We never output to executables, so I'm no expert but how about this: publish the file with the default Lectora icon and then replace the icon in the .exe with a program like Resource Hacker (http://www.howtogeek.com/75983/stupid-geek-tricks-how-to-modify-the-icon-of-an-.exe-file/) ?
