How Library Objects Function

I'm curious about how library objects are intended to function.I would have expected that if I update a library object, it would update all instances of it within my title. However, that doesn't appear to happen automatically.Is there some way to automatically update all of the instances of the library object? For example, if I changed the color on the background of a text field within my library object and resaved that library object, how can I apply those changes to all instances? Any way to do this?Thanks :)Sherry
