Hiding Table of Contents

I am trying to hide a text object on a page level when a button is clicked on the title level. I have a Table of Contents displayed in a tree view in an area on the left of each page, with a button to "toggle the visability state". The TOC pane and button are in the Title level of the title. I also use the left side of the screen to display the text of the audio that is playing. The text is not shown until the user clicks the Text button, also set for "toggle the visability state". The text box and button are page level. I added an action to the text box button to hide the TOC. All that works fine. However, if you show the text and then show the TOC they are on top of each other. How can I make the text box hide when the TOC is displayed?I'm using Lectora 2006 and publishing to HTML.
