Hide hyperlink outline

Hi,Im currently developing some system training work, which involves the user clicking on many buttons to move on and add information, replicating the system they will be using. An error message appears if the user clicks on the wrong part of the screen - which I have done by using an empty text box as a clickable link. The problem I have is when they do click on this, a dotted outline appears as the border of the textbox. Is there any Javascript or other script to use to hide this outline when clicked on. Looks rubbish as it is so, if anyone can, please help?ThanksMuncan
