Having difficulty using drag and drop! Desperately need forums help!

I am an experienced developer (Authorware & Captivate) but new to Lectora...I am trying to create a SIMPLE drag and drop question in which I am asking the learner to place steps in order...the content (drop image) is a .jpeg created in Photoshop with all four steps listed...

Then, I have separate number .jpgs (images of numbers) that I want the user to place in the correct position on the "Drop Image". Although I made sure the images were sized how I wanted them in Photoshop, when I imported them into Lectora, they were all kind of randomly resized... then, I got error messages that the drag image was too big for the drop image...So, I resized them again.

Now, out of four images, only one drag image will go to its proper place on the drop image... I am not sure what I am doing wrong... Should there be four separate DROP images for four separate DRAG images? Because I tried that first and it didn't work..So, I made ONE drop image that is a combination of the original four images - and set separate DROP POINTS on the single image for each separate DRAG image.

That didn't work either. Then, I tried making four separate drag and drop questions on one page... that didn't work either as each was on a different level, so it was obvious which drag image was matched with which drop image. I feel like I am missing something simple, but it just doesn't work.

Oh, and I can get correct feedback for the ONE drop image that will be placed...but no matter what, I cannot get the incorrect answer feedback to appear because none of the other images will stick to any place - the correct or incorrect drop points on the image.

I am using Lectora v 2008. I have spent all day on the single question -- I cannot imagine why it is not working... Any and all suggestions gratefully accepted...
