One thing you could consider is providing feedback on the page that contains the matching question. I use line images that show the correct pairs with a text box that contains additional information on why those are correct. And I create a Close & Continue button that sits at the bottom of the feedback text box. All that is grouped together. I change the action on Next to show the answer group rather than go to the next page. The Close & Continue button in my answer group performs the go to next page function. The 1-1, 2-2, etc. feedback at the test level is not great, but there isn't a good alternative.One thing you could consider is providing feedback on the page that contains the matching question.
