Exit/Close Button not working in my LMS

I am importing my course to our LMS (using SCORM 2004) and it is functioning properly as far as it being marked ‘complete’ when needed on that end, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get the window with the course content to close. I have put an ‘exit/close’ action on the corresponding button but it doesn’t actually do anything in the LMS.
I’ve tried using Javascript: top.window.close() but that didn’t work either.
Any suggestions?

It works in reviewlink and html, and I've tested it in Scorm Cloud too! The module opens in a new window from the LMS! I've checked the box in exporting it to SCORM that it opens in a new window so I know that's not it.
It was the first course that it happened in. Ironically, I just decided to test if clearing my cookies would do anything and it is now working. (what a fun surprise after troubleshooting all morning) I also went and moved the actions where the AICC_Lesson_Status is changed to passed and the CMI_Completion_Status is changed to completed a few slides earlier in the module and that also may have been part of the solution, but I don't know for sure. Just sharing this in case someone down the line has similar issues.
What LMS? Does the exit button work on any other page in the course by chance?
Is this your first course you have had this issue in cjisonline, or does this happen with every course? Just for fun, have you tried SCORM 1.2 to see if the same thing happens?
It's a Peak Performance product called cjisonline! And it seems to be working on alternate pages, just not the last one.
Does it work if you publish to html, or in ReviewLink? If it works in all these other areas, then it may be more a function of the LMS and maybe there is an option on that end of things. Does the module open in the same window as the LMS, or a new window?
