Essay Question - Post to PHP

I use Lectora Enterprise v.2008. My test results post to a php file. I am updating a training made up mostly of multiple choice questions with one new essay question at the end. I'm having difficulty finding how to send the contents of the entry field to the php file, or to set up the php file to receive the text. Would appreciate any help you can give.
