error when trying to preview course

I'm getting an error message when I try to "preview" my course. Any ideas about why this is happening? Here's the error:

Failed to load URL http://localhost: 3750//trivpreview_8093.html with error (-102).

I don't t understand what you mean. I may need more direction.

I'm in Lectora... creating a course. I have it built, but am trying to preview it when I get this error. (doing the thing where you hit ctrl+F11 or you can use the tool bar at the top under "VIEW" where it says "Preview") I've always been able to use this function - even used it yesterday.

I would suggest you try another URL and see if you get the same error.

That URL would point to a web server running on the same system you have Lectora installed on. I suspect that isn't your intent.

@awaid9938 what version Lectora are you using? We need to have trivserver .exe running, and recently had issues where some anti-virus software (Windows Defender) was blocking it. We know 17.1.7 - 18.0 was having the problem, and we believe it is fixed in 18.0.2

triserver.exe is there.

@awaid9938 can you check your "Program Files (x86)\Trivantis\Lectora Publisher (or Inspire) 18" folder and verify the trivserver.exe is still there. If it is, can you kill it in Task Manager and try publishing again?

I don't believe I had a problem until after I updated

I'm having the same issue and receiving the same error code. I'm using Lectora 18.2.1 and I did locate the trivserver.exe file within my C drive. I've closed the project, reopened. Still having no luck with Run, Preview, and Debug. Preview in a Browser works. Help is appreciated!

I realize I posted on a 3-month old message...but doesn't anyone see this? I still can't get preview to work, my WMAs will not convert to MP4s automatically, my bullets disappear when I publish, oh and my CC disappears when publishing even though the exact same set-up works in older versions of Lectora. So...anybody want to tell me what I can do to get some help? I even sent an email to support back on the 10th and I've had no response. Thanks!
