Edit VS Preview

May I ask why my edit never really looks like my preview in Lectora 19? In the first picture, there is clearly no dash in the edit. However, as soon as I click on the preview button, there is a dash on the left side. What could the reasoning behind this be?

There is likely a hidden character somehow inserted into the html of the text block. This can happen when pasting text from another location such as Word or a website. I would suggest 2 steps. 1) Go to the Home tab and click on the Show Text Formatting. This will show hidden characters. This may or may not show the dash. 2) Edit the text block and select all blank space between the end of the first sentence and the bullet. Then delete, and then add the blank line.
